Burning Text

1. Open a new file. I used the dimensions 300 x 250 at 72 resolution in the Grayscale mode.

2. Fill with black.

3. Pick the text tool and type in your text in white. I used the Wet Pet font at 100 pts.

4. Deselect preserve transparency box in the layer manager.

5. Rotate your image. «Image» «rotate canvas» «90° ccw».

6. Click «filter» «stylize» «wind» (wind from the left) 3 times.

7. Rotate image back. «Image» «rotate canvas» «90° cw».

8. Click «filter» «stylize» «diffuse» (check lighten only box).

9. Click«filter» «blur» «gaussian blur» (1.5)

10. Click «filter» «distort» «ripple» (medium 100).

11. Click «image» «mode» «indexed color» (yes to flatten layers).

12. Click «image» «mode» «color table».

13. From the roll up list choose black body and click ok.

14. Cool, huh???
